In a childish woods I used to play.
& Stopping by one snowy day,
I saw two paths fork, each a different way.
Undecided, long I stayed
And eventually down I lay
Nearly slipping into sleep, my thoughts did stray.
And I, wondering how long I might delay
The choosing of my route that day.
Now miles between and long ago
I find I do not know
If better was the road I chose
often do I wonder, though:
If only I might've stayed,
If only I might've stayed
there, so soft, so white, & I
So unafraid.
